Elise DeFaveri and David Bendiksen’s wedding September 2, 2010: We're happy to share our experience of our wonderful wedding in Piegaro! We had several guests flying in from Norway in addition to some of Elise’s relatives from Italy. We rented the entire L'Antica Vetreria for a week for our closest family as well as many rooms at the local hotel for our other guests. The wedding spanned three days, but immediate family gathered for a whole week. We had a gathering on Wednesday evening so the guests who hadn't met each other previously could get to know each other. We had some small dishes as well as some very good pizzas from the local pizzeria. The wedding ceremony was held on Thursday at the glass museum with the dinner at the palazzo with a small gift for each guest: a perfect setting for us, but there are several beautiful settings for a wedding ceremony in the vicinity. I'm sure that Colleen can find something that’s perfect for you. We served the wedding cake and had a BBQ in the evening at L'Antica Vetreria in the sunset which was simply stunning. On Friday we spent the early afternoon at a local winery with the tour of the vineyard and olive grove with wine tasting and small dishes. The winery is also very, very beautiful so a good option for your wedding, should you choose it. We had around 50 guests and the wedding went off without a hitch. If you are planning a smaller wedding it will make the arrangements even easier and Piegaro is, in our view, still a perfect setting. Unfortunately we ourselves didn't have time to tour many of the surrounding cities and sites because of wedding planning, but several of our guests did and all of them spoke highly of their trips. We can also mention that we were very happy with the photographer Gianluca Croci. If you wish, we can go into more detail on our experience in using his services. We wish you the best of luck on your wedding. I think you'll have a great venue for the ceremony if you choose to have it in Piegaro. Our friends and family still talk about it and a few of them have suggested that we have every anniversary there, with all the guests present!
