The 9th century tower and walls were once used for defense of the village rising above the valley and river below.
Now the arrow slits are glass windows and the ancient stone walls feature beautiful framed prints and luxury bedrooms. The original grand fireplaces were lovingly recreated and original niches now cradle vases full of green glass collected from the accumulated mountain of glass left behind in the 750 years of glassmaking.
