- Your Vacation Rental in Umbria! Family Friendly Apartments in a Village With Pool!
During your stay in the heart of Italy: Umbria and Tuscany you will experience Italian life at its best. Take an early morning walk to the bakery, enjoy a cappuccino on the terrace of the café or relax on your balcony overlooking the idyllic countryside with the swallows darting overhead. Spend afternoons wandering the tiny streets of perfectly preserved medieval hill towns or seek out the best gelato. Savor long dinners in the main piazza after watching the evening sun set with a glass of wine on your own terrace.
You have chosen the perfect base to explore the “Green Heart of Italy” as Umbria is called with its perfectly preserved medieval and Renaissance towns, abbeys and castles that perch on rolling hilltops every few miles. Visit Assisi, Gubbio, Todi, Spello, Perugia, shop for ceramics in Deruta, explore the underground of Orvieto sitting on its majestic tufa cliff; hike in the Piano Grande with masses of wild flowers or explore the largest waterfalls in Europe, Cascata Marmore. Windsurf the largest lake on the Italian Peninsula, Lago Trasimeno, or rent a boat.
Right on the border of famed Tuscany, you can be driving the ancient clay hills of the Val d’Orcia, visiting Siena, the wineries of Montalcino or Montepulciano, shopping for antiques in ancient Arrezzo or leather in Cortona.Your perfect introduction comes when we host a free wine tour and tasting at the world famous Castello Monte Vibiano organic winery, the only carbon-neutral producer in the world generating all power by solar energy. We travel in their electric jeeps past the owners’ historic castle, through ancient olive groves into a vineyard that dates to 217 B.C. Returning to the cantina we learn how wine is made and relax on the wine terrace with panoramic views to taste their wines with toasted bruschetta, olive oil and cheese.
We treat our guests as friends while booking a table at a little-known gourmet restaurant, taking you on a free wine tour and tasting, giving directions to an ancient castle or arranging a lesson on weaving the fiasco, the straw bottles of our glassmaking village. We are on hand to make your dream vacation come true and provide an extensive library of guide books and detailed itineraries booklets.
